Giraffe Animation Video

This was by far the hardest project! Figuring out an idea was one thing then extracting, getting it to do what you wanted it to do and making it life like is a whole other group of tasks. I was extremely proud of the work I did but I do not like photoshop videos one bit! Looks pretty life-like and very cute if I say so myself.

Lyrical Collage

My favourite band is Mumford and Sons and this is one of their most known quotes. At first I was actually going to post a picture of myself with flowers in my hair but I had someone else in the picture and it would have looked funny if I cut her out so I googled a different girl to use. I had a hard time cropping her so part of her head was missing so I erased a good chunk of it and put a white flower there to hide the fact that so much was cut off. I blurred the flower because the other ones seem to be blurred as well. I loved the flower idea and the word grace in a heart just helped explain the quote. I put it behind some of the layers of flowers so it didn't look too out of place. The doves and the rainbow with the "hills" in the background seemed to tie into the whole theme of the song. At first I didnt see how it was going to mix all together and look natural or like it was supposed to be like that but using new tools helped a good deal. I love the outcome.

Banksy

Banksy is one of my favourite artists so I created a brush stroke of one of his artists. I skewed the picture to make it off balance and look like it was tilted. I tried to use the tutorials on the art 210 blog but most of them weren't working and I couldn't figure out how to find some of the tools to use. I used the paint bucket for the guys so it goes from darker to a more clear picture.

Exquisite Corpse

Mystical Mike wound up getting hit on the head with the ufo because his son thats 2 years old got control of the space craft and whacked him while dad was out hunting for food. He looks a little confused but bounced back since he's an alien. I had a different project saved on my other computer but when I logged in I couldn't find it so this is the second attempt and I believe it came out even better because I had practiced with the tools for 2 hours in class while trying to make the other one. My favourite thing about this picture is his face and the stars around him. it makes the picture look aesthetically pleasing. I like this project because you could use your own idea as well as the one given to you and I played around with new tools I feel as if though we haven't learned about yet.

Logo Project

Original

Final Product
My final project was based off the fictional but very possible idea of my brother owning his own plumbing business. The plunger idea was used so that it would be easy for potential customers to easily identify the business idea. I used the typical plunger color's for the plunger itself; brown for the handle like wood and red for the base of the plunger. The brown coming out of the bottom is used as murky water and the blue genie like twist around the handle represents a shade of my brothers favourite colour. The genie like twist of the handle gives it a magic like feel, as if the company will fix anything and everything easily and quickly. I kept the colours simple instead of standing out such as no texture to the wood or anything so the eye wouldn't really draw to one specific thing but the whole idea. The text of the wording looks professional and is easily readable showing the seriousness to the cartoon like drawing. Overall my project came out better than expected and my brother loves it!
